In Malaysia, UNICEF works with partners to reach marginalized children and families with assistances:
Reached 73,500 children and families with essential supplies to fight COVID-19, including over 277,000 face masks and 43,334 bars of soap
Conducted ‘Families on the Edge’ study to better understand how women and children from low-income families was being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic adversely;
Supported the Ministry of Education via its Digital Educational learning Initiative Malaysia platform to keep over 3 million children learning, engaged and inspired during the nationwide school closures;
Designed and build Malaysia’s first UNICEF Inclusive Playground in the city of Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor and more
